Access to
Waipiʻo
Per the Mayor's Emergency Proclamation, only Hawaiʻi island residents can drive down Waipiʻo Valley. If you are from off-island we ask that you find someone from Hawaiʻi island to carpool with.
If you cannot find someone from Hawaiʻi island to carpool with please select in the RSVP that you will
be in need of transportation.
We will have 3 shuttles going down at:
12pm, 12:45pm, and 1:30pm
Shuttle pickup at Kahakalau Residence

Directions

Go to Waipiʻo Valley Lookout

Driver must show the Information Officer their Hawaiʻi Island ID

Drive down Waipiʻo Valley rd.

Once at the bottom stay left going into the valley

Stay on the road and cross the first river (Hiʻilawe)

Once you cross the river make the first right

The next 2 gates on the left are both entrances to Kapapa Loʻi ʻō Kealiʻikuaʻāina.
